Player issues take headlines

NRL player saga's and misbehavior has taken the main headlines in newspapers as the likes of Jarryd Hayne, Mark Gasnier and co take centre stage and join the likes of Willie Mason in terms of Rugby League notoriety.

After a shoot out in Kings Cross, the Parramatta Eels have put their club first and footy second as they disregard NRL Results in the first instance and ban Hayne and 2 other League players from their Round 1 clash against the Bulldogs in Sydney.

Coach Michael Hagan and the senior players at Parra backed the move and Hayne will join the premier league ranks for the first hit out and should join the team in Round 2 for their away game in NZ against the Warriors.
